William L. France

William L. France, age 76, of Maynard, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was the loving husband of Nancy M. (Locke) France. 

William was born in Concord, Massachusetts on February 18, 1948, son of the late Albert and Mary E. (Cook) France. He was raised and educated in Maynard, graduating from Maynard High School, class of 1966. William and Nancy married on July 5, 1969.

William worked as a draftsman for Xenon Company for many years.

William was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Bruins fan. He enjoyed horse racing and cherished his yearly trips to Saratoga, New York and Gulfstream Park, Florida. 

William is survived by his wife, Nancy M. France of Maynard, MA; his children, Carole Goguen of Acton, MA; William A. France and wife Starr D. of Maynard, MA; his brothers, David France and Robert France; his grandchildren Corinne, Chistopher, Kathryn and Juliana; his good friend Richard Lombardo (Second son). William was predeceased by his sister Susan Britt. 

His Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, ELCA, 16 Great Road, Sudbury, MA 01776. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard.
