Wanda H. (Jasielonis) Pugsley

Wanda H. (Jasielonis) Pugsley, age 90, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024. 

Wanda was born in Maynard, Massachusetts, on June 3, 1934, daughter of the late Stanley and Olimpia (Yukoska) Jasielonis. She was raised and educated in Maynard, graduating from Maynard High School, class of 1952. 

Family was most important to Wanda throughout her life. She was overjoyed when her two grandchildren came into the world, and she loved spending time with them as they grew into adulthood. Her love language was cooking and feeding those that she loved and even those that she had just met. Wanda was a very kindhearted and sweet woman who would do anything for her friends and family. Some knew her as Wanda, some called her by the Polish version of her name, Vanya, but she also liked to tell people that her name was Mrs. McGillicuddy when her natural impish tendencies slipped out.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Audrey Presti of Maynard, and her two grand-children, Kendall of Hudson, MA and Connor of Concord, MA; her son, Doug Pugsley and his fiancé Michele Bedell and Michele’s daughter, Lauren of Groton, MA.

Wanda was predeceased by her parents, Olimpia and Stanely Jasielonis, her brothers, John and Stan Jasielonis, her sister Blanche Anderson and her late husband, Doug Pugsley.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Wanda on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Burial will be private.
