Vivian E. (Wanhatalo) Dean, age 84 of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She was the loving wife of William E. Dean.
Born in Concord, Massachusetts, on March 30, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Elsie E. (Suikko) Wanhatalo. Vivian was raised and educated in Stow, graduating from Hale High School, class of 1954. William and Vivian met at the Little Club in Ayer. The couple married on June 19, 1965 and settled in Maynard.
Vivian worked as an Executive Secretary for Honeywell Corporation and an Insurance Company in Concord for many years.
Vivian loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She was the President of the Hale High School reunion association for many years. Vivian had a passion for antiquing. She attended many antique shows and flea markets throughout New England specializing in old jewelry.
Vivian is survived by her husband, William E. Dean of Maynard, MA; her sister, Shirley MacLeod of Boxborough, MA. Vivian was predeceased by her two sisters, Sandra Warila and Sylvia Estabrook.
