Valerie Anne Gramolini, 73, of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Valerie was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 10, 1952, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Anna (Stepanishen) Gramolini. She grew up in Maynard, graduating from Maynard High School, class of 1970. Valerie continued her education at Fitchburg State University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, class of 1974. She also earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College, class of 1990.
Valerie cherished working with her Alzheimer patients. She was a parishioner of GracePoint Church in Chelmsford where she acquired many supportive fellow parishioners that she enjoyed spending time with. She also enjoyed the activities and time spent with her friends at the Chelmsford Senior Center, as well as her neighbors where she resided. In the early years; Valerie spent her time teaching swimming lessons and was part of Nashoba Valley’s ski patrol team. Her favorite things were exploring lighthouses, collecting angels, gardening and watching football. She was an avid Patriots and Boston College Eagles fan.
Valerie is survived by her siblings, Stephanie Zerchykov of Cambridge, MA; Michael Gramolini and wife Kathleen of Groton, MA; Joseph Gramolini of VT; her nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Christopher and wife Danielle, Ashley and Simonetta. She was a proud great aunt to Madelyn, Anthony, Nicholas, Abigail, Ethan and Amelia. Also a great great aunt to precious Jayce. Valerie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph F. and Anna Gramolini; her brother Richard Gramolini.
A fitting celebration of Valerie’s life will be held at a later date.
