Sysaveuy Vorachith, 69, of Maynard, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 4, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. She was the wife of the late Syveo Vorachith.
Sysaveuy was born in Ban Taleo, Savannakhet, Laos, on March 9, 1955, the youngest daughter of the late Theuk and Nhock Khottavong. In April of 1980, she and her husband came to the United States and later settled in Maynard. She worked over 25 years as a dedicated team leader at United Technologies Corporation doing assembly.
Most important to “Voy” was her family and friends. Her heart was filled with joy when surrounded by them. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She had an innate ability to bring laughter and warmth to all who knew her, always offering a kind word or a loving gesture. Voy was a pillar of support to those around her, known for her caring nature, generosity, and the ability to make others smile.
Her spiritual life was an important part of who she was. She found great peace and fulfillment in going to the Lao Buddhist temples and practicing her faith. Above all, she cherished her time spent with family and her love for them was evident in everything she did.
Sysaveuy is survived by her children, Bountavy (Sidavone) Vorachith of Charlotte, NC, Connie (Khay) Insixiengmay of Maynard, MA and Michael Vorachith of Maynard, MA. Grandchildren Nina, Alexis, Jaslynn, Jordan and Jacob, along with nieces, nephews and a large extended family. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.
Family and friends will gather to remember Sysaveuy on Friday, February 14, from 5:00-7:00pm at Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard, MA. A traditional Buddhist service will take place on Saturday, February 15 at the funeral home from 9:00-11:00am. A cremation ceremony will follow at Rural Cemetery and Crematory, 180 Grove Street, Worcester, MA.
Sysaveuy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter and her unwavering love. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire love and kindness in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
