Sharyn E. (McNamara) Borey

Sharyn Elaine (McNamara) Borey, 67, of Maynard passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Joseph G. Borey Jr.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 29, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frank and C. Marjorie (Westgate) McNamara. Sharyn was raised and educated in Maynard. She graduated from Maynard High School, class of 1968. Joe and Sharyn were high school sweethearts and married later that year on August 31, 1968. Upon graduation Sharyn attended Wheelock College and studied Child Growth and Development. Sharyn worked for Kids-A-Lot in Stow, MA for twenty seven years and was a licensed Home Daycare professional for twenty years.

Family was most important to Sharyn. She was a proud soccer mom and enjoyed watching her sons play for the town of Maynard. She loved the yearly family trips to Lake Winnipesauke and cherished the time spent together. Holidays were so important and Sharyn really enjoyed hosting and cooking for everyone. The door was always open at the Borey house, just how Sharyn wanted it to be, everyone was welcome and she enjoyed hosting barbecues. Sharyn always looked forward to her yearly trip to Atlantic City with her mother and close friends, they enjoyed playing the slot machines. Sharyn also enjoyed Bingo.

She is survived by her devoted husband Joseph G. Borey Jr. of Maynard, her three sons Joseph F. and wife Michelle A. Borey of Maynard, Robert W. Borey of Fitchburg, Jeremy J. and wife Maria A. Borey of Brockton, her cherished grandchildren Andrew J.J., Daniel R.G., Samantha A.N., Jayla M., and Jeremy J. Borey Jr. Loving Nieces Shauna McNamara and Kristen Strachman. Pre deceased by her brother Frank "Skip" McNamara.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Sharyn on Wednesday July 19, 2017 from 4:00-8:00p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Funeral Service, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard, followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard.
