Sarah E. (Rosati) DeCarlo

Sarah E. (Rosati) DeCarlo age 97 of Maynard and formerly a long-time resident of South Boston passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Walden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in Malden on August 5, 1917 she was the daughter of Italian immigrants Joseph and Sabina (Maselia) Rosati.

Raised in South Boston she worked for many years as a stitcher for several local shoe manufacturing companies. She took great pride and enjoyed her work. She also enjoyed dancing and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy M. Clark of Maynard, her grandsons, Mark W. Franzoni of Billerica and David P. Franzoni of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Brian, Heather, Paul, Carleigh, Dylan and Sarah and her nieces, Frances, Sally and Lorraine and nephews John and Bobby.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Sarah on Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 4-8 pm in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 am in St. Bridget Church, 1 Percival St., Maynard. Interment will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Maynard.
