Rose M. (DiPietro) Pittsley, age 100, of Stow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Jasper M. Pittsley.

Rose was born in Stow, Massachusetts, on September 4, 1924, to the late Carmine and Rose M. (Rostti) DiPietro. She had 3 brothers, Ralph DiPietro, Salvario DiPietro, Anthony DiPietro and 8 sisters, Emma Boston, Mary Parette, Josephine Stephens, Evelyn Trautner, Helen Wright, Barbara Piso, Constance Marshall and Ginger Peirolo. She was raised and educated in Stow.

Rose worked as a stockroom clerk for many years for Digital Equipment Corporation. Over the years she babysat her nieces and nephews.

Rose enjoyed camping in northern New England with her husband. She cherished tending to her annual vegetable garden and relaxing by her swimming pool. Rose was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved to play Bingo. She enjoyed watching movies at the Stow Council of Aging. When she was younger, she loved to travel to Florida.

Rose lived for many decades and was very alert. She was alive during the Dust Bowl, The Great Depression and WW2. She talked on a cell phone and had high speed internet. She started her car with a hand crank when she was born and now you push a button. She was such a beautiful person and lived a wonderful life.

Rose is survived by her son-in-law, Gregg R. Isaacs of Plainville, NH; her sisters, Barbara Piso of Stow, MA; Constance Marshall of Stow, MA; Virginia Peirolo of Stafford Springs, CT; her five grandsons; her six great grandchildren; her six great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Hope M. Isaacs.
