Rose M. (Flaminio) Cathcart, age 79, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Tessier.
Born in Worcester, MA on April 6, 1942, Rose was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Lenore (Popillo) Flaminio.
Rose worked in many different jobs, beginning with the New England Telephone company. She worked in retail, was a travel agent and Girl Scout leader for many years and volunteered at the Millbury & Clinton Libraries reading and organizing crafts for children.
Rose loved spending time with family and friends - family game nights, celebrating special occasions, Christmas was always special - having her tree with meaningful decorations up for months, going on trips, making fancy chocolates, baking Christmas cookies, Disney trips, crafts. Other interests included traveling all around the world (especially Ireland), going to the movies, sewing, reading, theater, sharing stories with friends.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Kim Lalli and her husband Michael, her sons, Wess Cathcart and his partner, Suzan Foy, Daniel Cathcart and Peter Tranchita. Also her grandchildren Kristine, Andrea, Gina, Jackie, Brendan, Andrew, Jordan, Campbell, Winston and great grandchildren Michael and Juliette and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She's also survived by her brother, Michael Flaminio, sister-in-law, Patricia (Valeri) Flaminio and first husband, Carl Cathcart. Rose was predeceased by her brother, John Flaminio, stepsister, Doris (Mathieu) Tanona, stepbrother, Raymond Mathieu and aunt, Anna (Popillo) Mathieu.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Rose on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Maynard-Clinton Lodge of Elks, 34 Powder Mill Road, Maynard, MA 01754. Come share some memories, or send us a note to be added to a book of memories.
