Ralph B. Nelson

Ralph B. Nelson, age 82, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was the loving husband of Marilyn R. (Dunn) Nelson. 

Ralph was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on March 2, 1942, to the late Carl and Ruth B. (Thomas) Nelson. He was raised and educated in Maynard, graduating from Maynard High School, class of 1959. Ralph and Marilyn married on October 14, 1967, and settled in Maynard, to raise their growing family together.

Ralph worked as an Auto Mechanic for many years. Starting at the Boeske garage, Maynard, Anderson Ford, Acton and later Gervais Ford in Ayer for forty-two years, retiring in 2004. In retirement Ralph enjoyed delivering Auto parts for NAPA in Maynard. 

Ralph cherished time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed hosting cookouts at his home on George Road and maintaining the property. He loved to travel to York Beach, Maine, Newfoundland, Canada, Myrtle Beach and North Carolina to spend time with family. Later in life Ralph enjoyed collecting coins and watching NASCAR. 

Ralph is survived by his wife, Marilyn R. Nelson of Lancaster, MA; his children, Michelle J. Crocker and husband John C. of Lancaster, MA; Robyn M. Cunha of Clinton, MA; Brian R. Nelson and wife Trisha M. of Harrisburg, NC; his grandchildren, Oliva and Jack Crocker; Madisyn and Lauryn Cunha; Evelyn and Ashley Nelson; his twin brother, Roy T. Nelson of Uxbridge, MA; Lila Carlson of Maynard, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his siblings, Louise Bubier, David Nelson and Christine Nelson. 

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ralph on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. His Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Burial will be private.
