Nancy (Ledgard) Quinn, age 69, of Acton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Born in Boston, MA, on February 2, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Harold A. and Phyllis E. (Johnson) Ledgard. Nancy was raised in Concord, MA, and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School (1973) and Colby-Sawyer College (1977), with a degree in Business Administration.
Nancy started working with her father at Ledgard Real Estate and Appraisal in 1977. She grew the business and was later affiliated with Gallery of Homes, Prudential Real Estate, and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, eventually retiring in early 2025. Nancy served as president of the Central Middlesex Multiple Listing Service in 1984 and 1985 and as president of the Gallery of Homes Regional Council in 1987. From 1984 to 1989, she held various leadership roles with the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and served on the State Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®. From 1990 to 2002, Nancy was deeply involved with the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers, serving in multiple roles, including president. She also contributed nationally as a Board Congressional Coordinator for the National Association of REALTORS®. In recognition of her decades of service and professional excellence, Nancy was awarded REALTOR® Emeritus status by the National Association of Realtors in 2017.
Nancy cherished time spent with her family—especially her two beloved grandsons—and close friends. She loved her annual cruises, vacations in Falmouth, and any opportunity for some seaside relaxation. She also enjoyed making beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, showers, and family events. Nancy was passionate in her support of The Sunshine Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing positive group-based activities for children with cancer. She organized regional and local fundraising events, including golf tournaments, banquets, and family fun events, created a transactional giving program for her agents, and challenged each of her offices to set their own fundraising and philanthropic goals. Nancy also had deep local community ties, spending much of her career as a member (and occasional president) of the Maynard Rotary Club, and for many years as organizer of the Annual Maynard Holiday Parade.
Nancy is survived by her son, Allen and wife Robin (Barron) Quinn of Bolton, MA; her grandchildren, Aiden and James Quinn; her sister, Sally Wentworth and husband Mark Strunk of Foley, AL; her stepchildren, David C. Quinn of Sterling, MA, Heather Quinn of Acton, MA, and Julie Ann and husband Michael J. Galvin of Carlsbad, CA; her niece and godchild Taylor Wentworth and partner Andrew Louis of Spencer, MA; and her godchild, Sydney Herbert of Stow, MA.
