Mary I. (Mazzochi) Farquharson

Mary I. (Mazzochi) Farquharson, 89, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Life Care Center of Acton. She was the loving wife of the late Robert F. Farquharson.

Mary was born in Waltham on August 17, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Rivetti) Mazzochi. Raised and educated in Waltham, Mary graduated from Waltham trade school, class of 1947. Robert and Mary married on July 5, 1958. The couple settled in Maynard in May of 1965 and raised their family together. Mary worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard and Raytheon Company in Waltham for many years as an Inspector.

Mary enjoyed playing bingo and always looked forward to her Saturday night dinner at the Chateau Restaurant Waltham. Mary loved the two years she spent at Life Care Center of Acton. She met new friends and enjoyed spending time with everyone. She always looked forward to the daily activities.

Mary is survived by her children; Kathleen Parker of Maynard, Maryanne and husband Arthur Carlson of Maynard, her grandchildren; Jason Parker, Joseph Carlson, Chris Carlson and his fiancé Stephanie Drew, Kelsey McWhinnie and husband Anthony, Karen Carlson and Katie Carlson, her great grandchildren; Chavelle, Liberty, Joey, Olivia, Kolby and Syrus, her brother; S. David Mazzochi of FL and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her two children Lisa Marie Farquharson and Robert F. Farquharson Jr. her grandson Shawn Parker and her siblings Bill Mazzochi, Doris Marquis and Louise Peters.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mary on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at Saint Bridget Parish One Percival Street, Maynard. Burial will be private.
