Mark M. Stone

Mark M. Stone, age 63, of Maynard, formerly of Granby, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Lahey Hospital. He was the loving husband of 45 years to Sandra (Kuenzel) Stone.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 7, 1953, he was the son of the late Fred M. and Marion (Bixby) Stone. He was raised and educated in Granby. Mark graduated from William J. Dean Technical High School, class of 1968. Mark and Sandra were High School sweethearts and married on September 18, 1971. The couple was always together and enjoyed road trips, as well as lovingly picking on each other. They settled in Florence, MA and raised their family.

Mark worked as a self-employed Flooring Contractor for more than 44 years and has had his ceramic tile craftsmanship featured in Architecture and Design magazine.

Mark had a passion for fishing and hunting. He loved watching the Patriots. Spending time with his family was most important.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, his children, David and wife Antonia Stone of North Reading, Carrie and Daryn Hurst of Maynard, grandchildren Jack and Eli Stone and his brother Randy Stone and wife Mary of Granby. Mark was pre-deceased by his brothers Bruce Stone and Kerry Stone.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mark on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
