Mark P. McGrath

Mark P. McGrath, age 61, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022.  He was the loving husband of Kathleen L. (McMullen) McGrath.  

Mark was born in Manchester, NH on June 9, 1961, to the late John Robinson and Virginia Marie (McNiff) McGrath.  He was raised and educated in Old Bridge, NJ and Acton, MA. Mark graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, class of 1979 and attended U Mass Lowell. Mark was employed for many years as a highly skilled and valued IT Director, IT Analyst and Technical Support Specialist for firms including Convergys Corp, Stream Global Services and 3Com.  

Mark and Kathy married on June 27, 1987, and just happily celebrated their 35^th wedding anniversary. They settled in Maynard where they raised their family. Family was most important to Mark.  He cherished his daily drives with his wife Kathy, as well as the family trips to Old Orchard Beach and beaches on Cape Cod.  He loved the fish and chips from Johnson’s Drive in and Jerry’s Seafood in West Yarmouth.  Mark was a passionate Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots fan.  As a boy, he loved playing hockey at Nashoba Valley Olympia in Boxborough, MA – a sport he continued to enjoy playing as an adult.

Mark is survived by his wife, Kathy McGrath of Maynard, MA; his children, Harry Dylan McGrath of Maynard, MA; Mitchell Patrick Franklin McGrath of Maynard, MA; Kendra Kathleen Ann McGrath of Marlborough, MA; his grandchildren, Sophia, Harper, Mason and Miles; his siblings, Debbra Ann McGrath of Needham, MA; John Robinson McGrath of Amesbury, MA; his aunt, Nancy O’Brien and husband Dick; and many cousins.
