Lynne Ann (Benedict) Quebec, age 59, of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, passed away at Cheshire Medical Center on Sunday, September 9, 2018. She was the loving wife of Edward Quebec.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 25, 1959, she was the daughter of Richard G. Benedict and the late Susan M. (Racila) Zona. Lynne was raised and educated in Northborough, at Algonquin Regional High School, class of 1977.
Lynne joined Ed and family in Maynard in 1982 and they were joined by marriage on May 11, 1985. She worked for Digital Equipment Corporation as a quality engineer for many years where she made some life-long friendships. She and Ed took an early retirement and moved to Maine where they lived together for thirteen years before moving to southern New Hampshire to be closer to family.
Lynne was an avid reader and enjoyed taking care of plants and animals. She loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed the many critters who would visit the yard. She would give them names and tell stories of their behaviors.
She is survived by her loving husband Edward Quebec of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire; her son William Morse of Lowell; her father Richard G. Benedict of Barre; her step children Terry Quebec Forgue and husband Jay of Rhode Island, Mark Quebec of Leominster; Renee Graca and husband Albert of Sterling; Michelle Quebec of Hudson; her siblings Rick Benedict of Naples, FL; Brian Benedict of Worcester; Annmarie Taylor and husband Scott of Troy, NH; and her 13 grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Lynne on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard.
