Lorraine D. (Campbell) Popieniuck

Lorraine D. (Campbell) Popieniuck, age 89 of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023.  She was the loving wife of the late Michael A. Popieniuck. 

Lorraine was born in Concord, Massachusetts on October 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Stedman and Impei (Mark) Campbell.  She was raised and educated in Maynard. 

In her early years, Lorraine enjoyed camping at the Cape and Skiing in Vermont at Mount Snow.  She cherished time spent with family and friends.  She enjoyed walking downtown and visiting all the store owners. She looked forward to getting her morning coffee at McDonalds every day and visiting with the other patrons. The family gave her the nickname “Mayor of Maynard” because it seemed like she knew everyone in town. Along with that she looked forward to her Wednesday morning bowling league and going out with the girls for lunch.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Michele Klein and husband Wolfgang of Maynard, MA; her son, Mark Popieniuck of Maynard, MA; her granddaughter, Erica (Klein) LaPusata and her husband Robert; her grandson Michael Popieniuck; her great grandchildren, Ariana, Anthony, Dominic LaPusata and Macy Popieniuck.  She was predeceased by her sister Joan Smith and brother Mark Campbell.
