Lorraine Ann (Egizio) Manning

Lorraine Ann (Egizio) Manning, age 66, of Maynard, beloved wife of Kenneth Robert Manning, passed away suddenly at Emerson Hospital on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 10, 1954, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Fred and Matilda (Maffioli) Egizio. Lorraine was raised and educated in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School class of 1971. Upon graduation, Lorraine went on to attend MassBay Community College, Watertown, earning her Associates Degree in Business, class of 1974. Lorraine and Kenneth married on June 14, 1980. The couple settled in Maynard in January of 1987 to raise their family together.

Lorraine worked for Fiserv Company in Somerville for 34 years, retiring in 2016. She purchased the Corner Closet consignment shop in downtown Maynard and was the sole owner and proprietor.

Family and friends were most important to Lorraine. She cherished family backyard cookouts and hosting 4th of July parties. She was happiest at the beach, especially Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester and yearly trips to tropical islands. Lorraine always looked forward to her get-a-ways to New Hampshire with Kim and her girlfriends. She was an avid flower gardener and often took in plants from neighbors to nurse them back to health. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and arts and crafts. She always enjoyed a good thunder and lightning storm in the winter.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Kenneth Manning of Maynard; her children Michael Scott Manning and wife Stephanie Tyson of League City, TX; David Joseph Manning and wife Tiffany Marie of Maynard; Brian Patrick Manning of South Lake Tahoe, CA; Colleen Elizabeth Bathalon and husband Phillip Roger of North Garden, VA; her siblings Fred Egizio III and wife Irene of Medford; Jo-Ann McCauley of Watertown; her grandchildren Hannah, Camden, Keira and Kaileigh; her great grandchild of Emma; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Lorraine on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget's Parish,1 Percival Street, Maynard. Burial will be private.
