It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Keri Ann Mason, who left us far too soon on February 12th ,2025, at the age of 45. We will remember her kindness, compassion and beautiful spirit.
Keri was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on April 23, 1979, daughter of Karen (Tuikka) Mason and the late Robert G. Mason. She was raised and educated in Maynard, graduating from Maynard High School, class of 1998.
Keri cherished the time spent with her daughter Katie. She was her greatest achievement. Keri poured all of her love, creativity, and care into raising Katie. Nothing could surpass the joy and fulfillment she found in being a mother to her daughter, Katie.
She took pleasure in traveling predominantly to York, Maine to visit the beaches and light houses and to Pittsburg, New Hampshire where her family has a vacation home. There she enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful mountain views. Keri was an advocate for adoption, particularly from local shelters. She had a special place in her heart for Save a Dog in Sudbury. Her home was always filled with the pitter-patter of paws – usually a dog and a cat or two. Keri adored her cat Milo and dog Oscar. Keri's capacity for love wasn't limited to her furry friends. She had a natural harmony with children that were truly remarkable. Many local families were blessed to have Keri as a nanny for their children. She didn't just watch these children; she nurtured them, inspired them, and filled their days with joy. She also enjoyed making arts and crafts, a favorite past time of both Keri and her daughter Katie.
Keri is survived by her daughter, Katie Lima of Maynard, MA; her mother, Karen Mason of Maynard, MA; her brothers, Dan Mason and wife Debbie of Groton, MA; Matt Mason and wife Vicki of Acton, MA; Mike Mason and Willette of Littleton, MA; nephew, Ben and nieces Makayla and Jen. Keri was predeceased by her father, Robert G. Mason.
Her graveside service will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery, 260 Great Road, Maynard. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Maynard-Clinton Lodge of Elks 34 Powder Mill Rd, Maynard, MA 01754.
