Kathleen J. "Kathy" (Grady) O'Keefe

Kathleen "Kathy" J. (Grady) O'Keefe, age 49 of Stow, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was the loving wife of John J. O'Keefe.

Born in Emerson, New Jersey on April 2, 1969, she was the daughter of Barbara (Alleborn) Grady and the late Michael Grady. Kathy was raised and educated in Dumont, New Jersey, graduating from Dumont High School, class of 1987. Kathy went on and attended Boston University and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Kathy and John married on June 7, 1997. The couple settled in Stow in 2003 to raise their family together.

Kathy was an active member of the community in Stow. Kathy enjoyed the town politics. She was a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of Stow troop 72528 and the Girl Scout Coordinator for many years. Family was most important to Kathy. She loved planning the next family vacation and attended all of her kid's sporting events. Kathy was an avid reader and loved the town library. She loved to travel, especially to St. John in the U.S Virgin Islands.

Kathy is survived by her Husband John J. O'Keefe and her two children Maggie and Jack O'Keefe of Stow, mother Barbara Grady of Clarence, NY, her two sisters Sharon and husband Jim Finlayson of Clarence, New York and Tricia and husband Pete Lacey of Sharpsburg, Georgia, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Kathy on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish 12 Monument Square Concord. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Stow.
