John C. Tucker, age 81, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024.
John was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on August 19, 1942, to the late Frederick C. and Marion O. (Howe) Tucker. He was raised and educated in Sudbury, graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, class of 1961. Upon graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1964-1966 during the Vietnam War.
John worked as a Radio Announcer and Sports Talk Radio Host for many years. He also worked for Acton Ford for ten years.
John had a passion for running races and traveling New England to different Breweries. A member of the Rob Henry Track Club. He played in a men’s hockey league and was an avid Boston Bruins Fan. John cherished spending time in Seabrook, NH and Sandwich, MA with family.
John is survived by his significant other of thirty years Carol Carr of Maynard, MA; his children, Michael Tucker and partner Dina Wardwell of Leominster, MA; Stacey Tucker and partner Lee Ingham of Leominster, MA; his brother, David Tucker and wife Pat of Sudbury, MA; his grandson, Travis Tucker Ingham and granddaughter Janel Carr.
