Joanne B. (Loose) Brown

Joanne (Loose) Brown, 91 of Maynard, MA passed away on October 23, 2021. She was the wife of the late William P. Brown. She was born in Framingham, MA, daughter of the late Paul F. Loose and Marjorie (Symmes). Joanne grew up in Franklin, MA and went on to earn a B.A. from Boston University. She lived in Maynard for 63 years. She was involved in Girl Scouts, town softball and the HS booster club. Joanne spent many wonderful summers on Brandy Pond in Naples, Maine. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, crossword puzzles and her beloved New England sports teams. She is survived by her children Kathleen Nilsson and her husband David of Middlesex, NJ, Patricia Wheeler and her husband Mark of Saco, Maine and Steven Sampson Brown and his wife Theresa of Dubuque, Iowa. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at 11:15 am at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard and process to St., Bridget's Cemetery, Great Rd., Maynard for her graveside service at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local charity of your choice.
