Jeanne M. (Sheridan) McCarthy

Jeanne Marie (Sheridan) McCarthy, 84, of Sudbury, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on June 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Agnes (Campbell) Sheridan. Jeanne was raised and educated in Watertown. She graduated from Mount Trinity Academy, class of 1951. Daniel and Jeanne were married September 14, 1957. They moved to Sudbury in 1959 and raised their family. Jeanne worked for Bentley Publications in sales for many years.

Family was most important to Jeanne. She loved being a mother to her four children and hosting family events at her home in Sudbury. Jeanne loved to cook for her family. Everyone enjoyed her famous onion rings, Whoopi pies and Nana's Noodle's. She always looked forward to her Saturday night card games. Jeanne was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and past President of the Women's Guild in the 70's. Jeanne enjoyed playing bingo and working on crossword puzzles. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.

She is survived by her husband Daniel J. McCarthy of Sudbury; her four children, Maureen McCarthy of Quincy, Carolyn and the late Mark D. Place of Mason, NH, Daniel J. McCarthy Jr. and his wife Doreen of Sudbury, Ann McDonald of Quincy; her cherished grandchildren Michele, Jordan, Tyler and Brittany; her great granddaughter Claire; as well as, many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her siblings Rita Morel, Agnes Hayden, William Sheridan, Dorothy Drosdik, Robert Sheridan.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Jeanne on Friday October 20, 2017 from 4:00-8:00p.m in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Parish 160 Concord Rd, Sudbury, followed by burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sudbury.
