Jay E. McGuire

Jay E. McGuire, age 65, of Sudbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Jay was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, on July 18, 1958, son of Jacqueline M. (Fair) McGuire and the late Arthur G. McGuire.  He was raised and educated in Sudbury, graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, class of 1976.  On August 22, 1976, Jay sustained a spinal cord injury, when diving into a swimming pool. 

Jay had a passion for speed.  He enjoyed racing anything that had an engine, especially four-wheelers.  Jay cherished spending time with Ben his yellow macaw and dog Smokey.  He also enjoyed cooking, especially Chili. 

Jay is survived by his mother, Jacqueline M. McGuire of Sudbury, MA; his siblings, Patty Anderson of Hopkinton, MA; Karen Reimann and husband Paul of Maynard, MA; Paul McGuire and wife Paula Kennedy-McGuire of Sudbury, MA; Annmarie McGuire of Marlborough, MA; PCA and close friend Callahan Acevedo Williams, and many nieces and nephews.  Jay was predeceased by his brothers Jack and Michael McGuire. 

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church 160 Concord Road, Sudbury.  Burial will follow at Old Town Cemetery, Sudbury.
