Jason Andrew Campbell, age 37, of Acton, MA passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Jason was born in Bennington, Vermont on February 17, 1984, the son of Robert G. Sears Jr., and Sharon L. (Campbell) Fanning. He was raised and educated in Bennington, graduating from Mount Anthony Union High School in 2001. Jason worked for Mack Molding in Arlington, VT and most recently Steinerfilm in Williamstown, MA in the shipping and receiving department.
Jason was an avid fisherman. As a young boy he would say "I saw a fish jump" as the family drove over bridges and "one more cast" when the day of fishing was coming to an end. He enjoyed playing softball and hunting for white tailed deer. Jason was a proud father of his son Benjamin. He cherished attending his sporting events and sharing his passion for fishing. He also enjoyed rooting on his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and the San Francisco 49ers.
Jason is survived by his son, Benjamin Stadnik of East Greenbush, NY; his mother, Sharon L. Fanning and Step-father Bob Fanning of Acton, MA; his father, Robert G. Sears Jr. and companion Tina Tifft of Bennington, VT; his siblings, Robert Campbell and companion Bridget Parry of Acton, MA; Tara Weber and husband Mike of Bennington, VT; Erin Grant of Bennington, VT; Sheena Batease and husband Todd of Bennington, VT; Robert G. Sears III of Bennington, VT: his step sister, Heather Fanning of Kennesaw, GA; his step brother's, Patrick Fanning of Auburn, MA; Bobby Fanning III of Clinton, MA; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Jason on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery 64 Mechanic St, North Bennington, VT 05257.
