Georgianna (Knowles) Carlyle

Georgianna (Knowles) Carlyle, age, 77 of Acton, formerly of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.  She was the loving wife of the late Thomas L. Carlyle Sr.

Georgianna was born in Old Orchard Beach, Maine on July 28, 1945, the daughter of the late Herbert P. and Mabel G. (Smith) Knowles.  She was raised and educated in Maynard, graduating class of 1963.  Georgianna and Thomas married on January 2, 1965. 

Family was most important to Georgianna. She cherished spending time with family and friends.  Georgianna and Thomas traveled the world together.  

She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Carlyle and wife Gillian of Swanzey, NH; her two grandchildren Thomas R. (16) and Amelia E. Carlyle (13); her sister, Joyce Knowles. Her extended family in New York; Tom and Alisha Jauch and their children Brianna (Jauch) Mattina, Karl, Owen, Veda, and Jessica Jauch. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas L. Carlyle Sr. and her son, Ray A. Carlyle. 

Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard.  Burial will follow at Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Maynard.
