Georgia L Golden 1928-2017.
After a long battle with dementia, Georgia Golden, 88, passed away
peacefully in Worcester, MA, where she moved 2 years ago to reside at
Dodge Park Rest Home. Born Georgia Olena Lowe, she was the last of 3
brothers, and a sister who all grew up on a small farm in Virginia.
Beloved daughter of Russell and Dollie Lowe. As a long-term employee
of the FBI and the US Park service, Georgia lived in the DC area for all of
her life. She had a fondness for gardening, playing solitary and cooking;
always making sure you never left on an empty stomach.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna and her husband Glenn of Lancaster,
MA and Brenda Brooks of Napa, CA. and loving grandmother to 3
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her
husband Homer E Golden. As she was so lovingly referred to at Dodge
Park, "Georgia Peach", will always be in our hearts.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Dodge Park Rest Home for
their excellent care, compassion and all their kindness shown to Georgia
over the years.
Georgia's ashes will be interment at the family site in Manassas VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dodge Park
