Norman Buerklin

Died Monday, January 15, 2024. Norman was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 24, 1944, to his parents Carl and Mildred Buerklin. He graduated from Central High School, Class of 1961.
Norman first worked for Sheraton Corp. and Clark & Reid Moving Co. Then for 30+ years, he divided his time running a one-man handyman business and being a professional (SAG-AFTRA) actor in movies, TV, commercials & print work. He spent 32 (anonymous) years in the role of "Santa Claus" on stage at the Boston Pops Orchestra "Holiday Pops" concert series.
An active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 50+ years, Norman sang bass & served as Music Director and coach. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Patty (Lowe-Claflin) Buerklin of Maynard, MA; his daughter, Erin Claflin of Ann Arbor, MI; his grandchildren Rowan and Rhiannon Reed; his sister, Ellen Buerklin of Chester, PA. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Doran. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his name to the Barbershop Harmony Society. Services will be private.
