Frances E. (LaGoy) Merriam

Frances E. Merriam, age 67, of Natick formerly of Maynard passed away on September 2, 2015 at MetroWest Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Concord, MA on January 19, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Levi and Ann (Lent) LaGoy. Frances was raised and educated in Maynard and graduated from Maynard High School class of 1966.

Frances was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and cooking for her family. She was a proud member and past president of the Business & Professional Women Association. Spending time with family was important to her and she also enjoyed shoe shopping.

She is survived by her two sons Daniel and his wife Meredith of Marlborough and Chris of Framingham. Her brother Levi LaGoy and his wife Jane of Pepperell and sister Ruth LaGoy of Fox, AR. Two grandchildren Madison and Tyler and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her partner of 22 years, Albert Brown of Natick and her former husband Ken Merriam of Maynard. She is also predeceased by her brother Daniel LaGoy.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Frances on Tuesday, September 8th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. A graveside service will be Wednesday, September 9th at 10:00 am at Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard.
