Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Kasziewicz) Scesny

Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Kasziewicz) Scesny age 78 of Stow, formally of Salisbury and Maynard, died peacefully on March 14, 2016 at Emerson Hospital, Concord, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter "Buddy" Scesny to whom she was married for 44 years.

Born and raised in Maynard, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Kasziewicz. She was employed for many years by Digital Equipment Corporation. In her retirement, Betty and Bud owned and operated the Old Salts Bed & Breakfast in Salisbury, Massachusetts.

Betty was an avid reader, loved crafting, crossword puzzles, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, David and his wife Mary of Shirley, John and his wife Kate of Florida, Dana and his wife Debbie, Mitzi and her husband Tom McGurn, Michelle and her husband John Kruszkowski, all of Maynard. Frank and his wife Thip of Leominister, Jean and her husband Marcel Poirier of Florida, and the late Stephanie Lemelin-Botelho, two brothers Frank and James Kasziewicz of Washington, and two sisters, the late Helen Barilone and the late Frances Pakus, 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home on Sunday, March 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to honor and remember Betty. A private burial will be held at a later date.
