Elizabeth G. (LeGraw) "Betty" Marzilli

December 27, 1920 — June 21, 2016

Elizabeth G. "Betty" (LeGraw) Marzilli age 95, of Humarock, formerly of Maynard died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Paul J. "Joe" Marzilli Sr. who died in 2015.

Born in Somerville on December 27, 1920 she was the daughter of the late George F. LeGraw and Elizabeth G. (McCarthy). Betty grew up in Davis Square, Somerville and graduated from Saint Clement High School class of 1938. Betty meet her husband in Newton at the Modern Dairy Bar where he was co-owner with his uncle. They married on March 3, 1951 and moved to Maynard where together they raised their loving family.

The most important thing in Betty's life was her family, she was an excellent cook and was known for her spaghetti sauce, veal parmesan, homemade jelly and her three minute egg. She was a long-time, faithful and active member of St. Bridget Parish.
Betty was a talented and successful artist, she enjoyed photography, swimming, long walks on the beach both in Humarock and Wells Maine. She also enjoyed sewing and reading a historical novel with a cat on her lap. Betty loved traveling the world with her husband Joe and cherished her home with her family.

She is survived by her loving children Caroline Borden of Sagamore Beach and Paul J. Marzilli, Jr and his wife Sandy of Maynard, her devoted grandchildren Ann Pruitt, , Caroline Bianco, Audrey MacLean, Suzanne Borden, Elizabeth Pearce, Paul J. Marzilli III, Elizabeth DiTavi, Angela Marzilli and their families. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Collins and brother George F. LeGraw Jr.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Betty on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9:00-10:30AM in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Parish, One Percival Street, Maynard, MA 01754. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard.
