Eldin G. (Howie) Joslyn

Eldin G. (Howie) Joslyn, age 75, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was the loving wife of Richard L. Joslyn.

Eldin was born in Donkin, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late William and Mary (Anderson) Howie. She was raised and educated in Brighton, graduating from Brighton High School class of 1967. Eldin and Richard married on November 20, 1971, and settled in Concord. The family moved to Maynard in 1994.

Eldin worked for the Concord Municipal Light Plant as a clerk for twenty-six years, retiring in 2015

Family was most important to Eldin. She cherished her yearly trips home to Canada to see family and friends. Eldin really enjoyed cooking and baking for them.

Eldin is survived by her husband, Richard L. Joslyn of Maynard, MA; her son, William S. Joslyn of Maynard, MA; her sister, Janet Riordan of Waltham, MA; and her nieces Mary and Deborah and their children Christopher, Elizabeth, Michael, Kyle, Matthew and Shane.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Eldin on Sunday, September 29, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Burial will be private.
