Edmund P. Lynch

Edmund P. Lynch, aged 92, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine D. (Connor) Lynch. Born on September 6, 1931, in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, to the late Edmund F. and Theresa M. (Brady) Lynch. Edmund graduated from Iona University with the class of 1954 earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Edmund served proudly in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. On June 22, 1957, Edmund and Geraldine were married.

For thirty-five years, Edmund worked as an insurance salesman for John Hancock before retiring in the early 1990’s. He held a deep pride in his New York roots, avidly supporting the Brooklyn Dodgers, NY Rangers, and New York Giants in his youth. Beyond sports, he enjoyed engaging in discussions about politics, his faith and family, Irish ancestry, and maintaining his fitness through gym workouts and swimming.

Edmund is survived by his wife, Geraldine D. Lynch of Stow, MA; his children, Christopher G. Lynch of Boston, MA; Brian E. Lynch and wife Sharon of Stow, MA; Kevin C. Lynch and wife Bobbie-Jo of Bolton, MA; and his grandchildren, Michael Lynch, Jessica Lynch, Katherine Coen, Emma Coen, Connor James Lynch, and Bellamy Rose Lynch. He was predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth MacNamara, Fr. Francis M. Lynch, Maureen Cummings, John Lynch, and Michael Lynch.

Private services will be held in his memory with a celebration of life to be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stow Food Pantry 509 Great Rd, Stow, MA 01775 or online donations to the Bedford Massachusetts Veterans Association in honor of Edmund's life.
