Douglas W. Allan

Douglas W. Allan, age 71, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023 in the loving care of the New England Hospice Team at Life Care Center of Acton.  There are no words to describe the loving compassionate care these heroes gave him, and we will be forever grateful.  A hero is a man or woman noted for feats of courage or nobility. Doug was a hero as well.

Doug had a passion for fishing and hunting. He graduated from Maynard High School, class of 1970.  Doug proudly served as both a Fire Fighter Lieutenant and E.M.T. on the Sudbury Fire Department for twenty years, July 30, 1978- August 14, 1998.   He was always 100% ready to save a life or fight a fire.

Douglas is survived by his brother, Jon R. Allan of Maynard.
