Donna M. (Brown) Jacobs, 66, of Stow, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. She was the loving wife of forty-eight years to Chester D. "Chet" Jacobs.
Born in Waltham, Massachusetts on November 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and Claudia (Brosnihan) Brown. Donna moved to Stow in 1953 at the age of three. On the first day of 1st grade, she met her future husband Chet. The couple married on April 20, 1969 at Saint Isidore Church.
Donna had a passion for public service, serving on the Planning Board for the town of Stow and the Stow Conservation Commission for many years. She enjoyed volunteering and helping people. Donna also worked for the Town of Acton Planning Department and Town of Framingham Planning Department. She was the Director of MetroWest Regional Collaborative.
Family was most important to Donna. She enjoyed hosting and celebrating the holidays. Cooking and baking for her family brought her great comfort. She was a recipient of the Betty Crocker cooking award.
She is survived by her husband Chester D. Jacobs of Stow; her daughter Emily Jacobs and partner Dana Ruiz of Stow; and her brother E. Robert Featherston of Groton. Donna was predeceased by her sister Regina Ashman.
Donna's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Isidore 429 Great Road, Stow , MA. Burial will be private.
Per Donna's wishes she would like everyone attending her Funeral Mass to wear bright colors to celebrate her life.
