Constance "Connie" (Campanella) Cardoza

March 3, 1949 — August 10, 2023

Maynard

Constance “Connie” (Campanella) Cardoza, age 74, formerly of Maynard and Leominster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at home surrounded by family.  She was the loving wife of the late Joseph A. Cardoza.

Connie was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 3, 1949, daughter of the late Joseph and Phyllis (Iannaccone) Campanella.  Raised and educated in Somerville, graduating from Somerville High School, class of 1967.  Connie met Joe, the love of her life, when they were living in the same neighborhood, and they became childhood sweethearts.  On April 6, 1968, Connie and Joe married at St. Benedict Church in Somerville and in 1969 they moved to Maynard to raise their loving family.  Connie worked as a Manager of Customer Service for 25 years at Millipore Corporation.  In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was always working on a project.

Family was most important to Connie, especially time spent with her grandchildren.  She cherished spending Sunday dinners with her extended family; all were welcome at Connie’s table, the more the merrier.   She loved cooking and continuing the Italian holiday traditions.  Her eggplant could not be beat and now we will be without struffoli on Christmas Eve.

Connie is survived by her children, Kymberly Cardoza and wife Susan Marciano of Westford, MA; Christopher Cardoza and partner Shannon French of Townsend, MA; grandchildren, Joseph and Ariana Cardoza, brother, Bart Campanella, sister, Joanne Barrasso and husband Andrew and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Connie on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church, One Percival Street, Maynard.  Burial will be private.

Gifts in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
