Charles S. Band of New Ipswich, NH, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Thursday April 1, 2021 at age 67.

A son of the late Hans and Elizabeth (Harford) Band. Charlie was born in Lowell, Ma on April 13, 1953. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1971 and later obtained an engineering degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and was employed by Raytheon Technologies for 31 years.

Charlie was known as a kind, loving, compassionate, and generous soul. He had great faith, a great love for Jesus and enjoyed reading his Bible everyday. His favorite verse was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life".

He was a talented guitarist, song writer and produced many cd's that he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Charlie had a passion for organic gardening, making cornbread, blueberry pancakes and spaghetti sauce made from his homegrown tomatoes.

He and Linda loved visiting Prince Edward Island, Acadia National Park, Cape Cod; walking the Brewster Flats, winter visits to the Florida Keys and cross country trips to the National Parks. He loved to fish for landlocked salmon while camping on Mark's Island at West Grand Lake Stream, Maine. Charlie also loved spending time with his wife in the beautiful surroundings of their country home on the hill.

Charlie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be forever loved and in our hearts.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years Linda Butler Band, his brothers Richard Band and wife Enid, of Dover, NH, Peter Band and wife Lynne of Hollis, NH, brother-in-law Richard Butler of Lunenburg, Ma, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a graveside service on June 17th at 12:30pm at The Glenwood Cemetery, 260 Great Rd. (Rt 117 entrance), Maynard, Ma.
