Benjamin F. Pakus died peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on April 9, 1942, in Lowell to the late Benjamin and Alice (Glynn) Pakus. Ben grew up in Maynard with his lifelong friend, Robert France and his wife Claire of Westford, MA. He started a job as a stockroom clerk at Digital Equipment Corp in 1967 and worked his way up to facilities manager in Merrimack, NH, before retiring in 1992.

Benjamin married Frances (Kasziewicz) Pakus on April 14, 1963. The couple moved to Pepperell in 1977 to raise their 3 children. Ben loved nature and enjoyed it while either walking or driving. He loved hanging out with his family, especially while watching his favorite team, the Patriots. He also enjoyed playing slots at the casino.

Ben is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Pakus) Lajoie of Pepperell and his two sons; Daniel Pakus of Pepperell and Brian Pakus of Mullins, SC. He was the grandfather to seven beautiful children and five great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Girl Scouts of America.
