Antonina Bajgot age 93 of Maynard passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Emerson Hospital. She was the wife of the late Walter Bajgot.
Born in Poland on October 25, 1921 she was the daughter of the late John and Agata (Drobinowicz) Szczerzenia.
A survivor of World War II in communist occupied Poland, Antonia moved to the United States and settled in Maynard.
A devoted mother and grandmother she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling and was a faithful longtime parishioner of the former St. Casimir's church where she was a member of the Sodality. She also worked for many years for Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard in the packaging and shipping department.
Survivors include her daughter Zofia Zmijak and her son Joseph Bajgot both of Clinton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Antonina on Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 5-8 pm in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 am in St. Bridget Parish, 1 Percival St., Maynard. Interment will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Maynard.
