Antoinette M. (Maillet) Dallaire

March 20, 1931 — January 15, 2022

Antoinette M. (Maillet) Dallaire, age 90, of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Paul J. Dallaire. Antoinette will be remembered for her loving heart, giving spirit and devotion to her family and faith.

Antoinette was born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on March 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Imelda (Poirier) Maillet. Tragically, both of her parents passed away before her second birthday. Antoinette was raised by her extended family and educated in New Brunswick, Canada. Antoinette and Paul married on March 8, 1950, while he was on leave from the United States Army. The couple settled in Cambridge and later moved to Arlington Heights, finally settling in Maynard in 1968 to raise their growing family together.

Antoinette was a devout Catholic and had unending faith in God. She enjoyed attending daily Mass at St. Bridget's Church in Maynard, where she was a parishioner for more than fifty years. Faith and family were most important to Antoinette. She enjoyed yard sales every Saturday morning in the surrounding towns. She was a devoted homemaker, always welcoming friends and family. Antoinette was a talented artist. She especially enjoyed oil painting, watercolor and fabric painting. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Antoinette is survived by her children, Denise Leach and husband Richard of Maynard, MA; Diane Emanuelson and husband Dean of Maynard, MA; Mark Dallaire and wife Tracey of Maynard, MA; Peter Dallaire and wife Linda of Maynard, MA; Joseph Dallaire of Bedford, MA; her sister, Sister Sarah Maillet of New Brunswick, Canada; her extended family, Albeo Allain, Rose Marie Cormier, Bernard Allain, Raymond Allain, Maurice Allain, and Lorraine Poirier of New Brunswick, Canada; her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Henry Maillet, Jean Maillet and George Maillet; and her extended family, Paul Emile Allain.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11:00 am in St. Bridget's Church, One Percival St., Maynard. Burial will follow at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Maynard.

In lieu of flowers the family would ask for a memorial donation to Minute Man Arc, 35 Forest Ridge Road, Concord, MA, or Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA 01752
