Anne (Carter) Morris, 81, formerly of Acton, MA died peacefully, with her family at her side on Sunday, April 13, 2014.

Anne was born in West Roxbury, MA, the daughter of the late James and Anne (Tierney) Carter. She was raised and educated in Boston, MA, and was a resident of Acton for over 40 years. After raising her 7 children, she returned to school and worked in the offices of the Superintendent and Principal of Minuteman Regional Technical High School in Lexington, MA. Anne had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with her large family and many friends. She was a talented writer and cake decorator. She delighted in her grandchildren and loved to travel.

She is survived by her 7 children, William Morris and his wife, Heather, of Altamonte Springs, FL, Michele Morris of Marina Del Rey, CA, James Morris and his wife, Paula, of Londonderry NH, Richard Morris of Acton, MA, Michael Morris of Manchester, NH, Jeanne Canuel and her husband, Todd of Exeter, RI, and Joseph Morris and his longtime girlfriend Tricia Hardwick, of Somerville, MA; twelve grandchildren, Neka, Laura, Bridget, Willie, Mercy, Liry, Lisy, Bella, Kimberly, Gabrielle, Samantha and Connor; sisters Mary Carter, Clare Carter, and Kathleen Winikates and brothers, James Carter, Jr (deceased) and Michael Carter.

Visiting Hours, Tuesday, April 15th from 4-8 pm in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Acton. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton.
