Andrew E. Santosuosso

It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our cherished little brother, Andrew E. Santosuosso. Andy passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, with his faithful and selfless friend Renee West at his side. 

Andy was born in Cambridge, MA to the late Alfred E. Santosuosso and the late E. Thalia (Asimas) Santosuosso. He was raised in Bedford and graduated in 1982 from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School where he developed his innate mechanical ability. 

Andy worked at the Ezra J. Leboff Co. in Brighton, MA, later becoming the CEO and business owner in 2004. He retired in 2019. 

Andy was a true Renaissance man, possessing and engaging in talents such as guitar playing, jewelry making, motorcycle riding, avidly reading, cooking and baking, sewing, drawing and painting. He was a keen observer of nature leading him to create a much-loved backyard oasis for birds, chipmunks, squirrels, koi fish and other wildlife. Andy considered applying for patents for his many creative and ingenious ideas. He was self-taught with a strongly active and curious mind which led him to embrace life fully.

 Andrew leaves behind his four siblings, Debra (Dan) Dorsey of Seminole FL, Diane (James) Funk of Augusta KS, Jeffrey (Tara) Santosuosso of Pensacola FL, and Angela (Stephen) DeAngelis of East Dorset VT, along with nieces, nephews, and a large extended family, including cousin and close friend Donna Caraglia of Wakefield, MA. He was predeceased by his parents and stepmother Hannalore Arnoul. 

Andy always loved cats, and he rescued his feral cat, Boo, who quickly became his best four-legged friend and companion. Boo will carry Andy’s love with her to a new home with Renee.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Andrew on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:30 am- 12:30 pm at Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard, MA. His celebration of life will follow at 1:00 pm at The Sanctuary, 82 Main Street, Maynard.
