Alfred Lawrence Pitman

Alfred Lawrence Pitman, 80, passed January 28, 2024, peacefully at his home in Maynard, MA.   He was born December 12, 1943, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, the son of Wilber Pitman and Loretta Lafreniere. 

He was the loving husband of Christy Pitman.  They were married on June 3, 1967. 

Al worked his whole life to provide a good life for his family.  He worked for Raytheon for 28 years and retired in 2006. 

Al was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved his family dearly.  He enjoyed golf, watching tennis and the Patriots and playing cards with his family. 

Al was predeceased by two sisters, Elaine Mercier, Mary Medeiros and a brother Kenny Pitman. 

He is survived by his wife, Christy Pitman of Maynard, MA; his children, Carl Pitman and his partner Barbara Denis of Sterling, MA; Brenda Paulino and her partner Tom Tedstone of Marlborough, MA; his grandson, Gerald Pitman of Maynard, MA; and many nieces and nephews.  

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Al on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. 

Burial will be private.
