Agnes M. (Silver) Doyle age 73 of Maynard passed peacefully on June 12, 2014 in the loving arms of her best friend and husband of 53 years, Robert E. Doyle, Sr. after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Newton on October 9, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Agnes (Bolduc) Silver. She graduated Phi Theta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts with her Associates Degree in Accounting.
Agnes loved the great outdoors and all of its wonder. She marveled at lovely sunrises; the wild bear and deer roaming around her; and walking the beaches of Gloucester, MA. She was an avid gardener, gifted painter, stain-glass artisan, and friend to everyone she met. Agnes derived the most pleasure from spending time with her family – Fourth of July cookouts, birthday parties, Christmas celebrations and traveling to distant lands.
Along with her husband surviving family members include her loving children, Robert E. Doyle Jr., of Pompano Beach, FL, and Deborah A. Shanks and husband Richard of Barre, her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie M. Shanks and Simon Maznick of Barre and Richard S. Shanks, Jr. and Colleen Richard of Leominster. She was also the devoted sister of Edwin E. Silver and wife Janice, Ralph Silver and wife Frances, Jean Hubbard and the late Barbara Coppola as well as an extended loving and supportive family and friends.
